During
the summer, coffee mornings are held in the
Church Hall on Wednesdays
from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. The 2008 season of coffee mornings
began on Wednesday 2 April.
On Wednesday 17th October 2007, our Coffee Morning Team held their
end-of-season lunch at a new venue – The Ambassador Hotel. We
were made very welcome and everyone present said that they had
thoroughly enjoyed their meal and were spoilt for choice. The
service and presentation were also very good.
In 2007, we held 27 coffee mornings, which had the support of our
regulars and holiday makers from all over the country and, indeed, the
world, including Canada and the USA. We are really getting well
known! Some of our customers say that we make the best cup of
coffee and tea in Wales. I also say that not many coffee mornings
can boast of having regular visits from a ‘Lord’ and from mayors.
My thanks once again to our hard-working team who make the coffee
mornings the success they are. Thanks again. See you all in
April 2008.

During the winter,
the Winter Warmers team
takes over to serve coffee, cakes, soup and rolls in the Church
Hall on Wednesdays from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. There was a
Frugal Lunch at 12.00 noon on Wednesday 19 March 2008, bringing to an
end
the Winter Warmers sersaon for 2007 / 2008. Photographs taken at
the Frugal Lunch and at Winter Warmers can be seen in the Parish
Magazines for March and April 2008.
Please
contact the
clergy if you would like to join one of the teams or if you can
help with
baking at home.
